Mid-Session: Market extends gain; Sensex crosses 28,800 on FIIs flow

At 12:10 PM, the Bombay Stock Exchange bellwether Sensex was at 28813.4, up by 281.29 points or by 0.99 per cent, and the NSE Nifty was at 8895.05, up by 85.4 points or by 0.97 per cent.
On the sectoral front, all the thirteen indices were trading in green while rate sensitive financial and auto stocks were leading the gain, adding as much as 2.01 per cent and 1.59 per cent respectively.

The key domestic benchmark indices continued to trade higher, holding early gains, in broad-based buying in late morning deal on Tuesday as worries over a near-term US interest rate hike eased after US Friday’s jobs data came in below expectations.
