Stocks of frontline automobile companies are likely to trade sideways-to-positive next week, with all eyes on the Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy review and October auto sales numbers. The market will also take cues from Jul-Sep earnings and management commentary. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd will detail its earnings for the September quarter on Oct 30.

The Reserve Bank of India will announce its second quarter review of Monetary Policy for 2012-13 (Apr-Mar) on Oct 30, and any cut in key policy rates will act as a trigger for the interest-rate-sensitive auto stocks. Cash Reserve Ratio is the minimum amount of cash that banks are mandated to deposit with the central bank at all times. Repo rate is the rate at which the central bank lends to other banks under its Liquidity Adjustment Facility.
