* CAIRN INDIA: India has time to respond till November to parent's demand for $5.6 bln compensation in the retrospective tax case.
* COX & KINGS: Smallcap World Fund has sold 2.04 mln shares, or 1.16% stake, in the company
through bulk deals on the exchanges.
* DEWAN HOUSING FINANCE CORP: Plans to raise at least 20 bln rupees through the second tranche of the public issue of non-convertible debentures maturing in three, five, and seven years.
